Local Leaders of Mathematics Education (LLME) – Reception Role 2026/27
Cheshire and Wirral Maths Hub are looking for experienced Early Years practitioners who might be interested in joining our community of Local Leaders of Mathematics Education (LLME).
It’s a great opportunity to work with schools across the region, support high-quality early maths, and collaborate with other passionate practitioners. You’ll have the chance to share ideas, learn from others, and help develop effective practice together.
It’s also a fantastic opportunity to grow your own professional expertise while helping shape Early Years maths across the region.
If you have strong experience in Early Years maths and enjoy supporting colleagues and developing practice, we’d love to hear from you.

Local Leaders of Mathematics Education (LLME) Opportunities
At Cheshire and Wirral Maths Hub, we are passionate about developing excellent mathematics teaching and supporting schools across our region.
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed teachers to work with us as part of our Local Leaders of Mathematics Education (LLME) community. Opportunities include but are not limited to:
- Primary and Secondary Mastery Specialists
- Professional Development (PD) Leads
- School Development (SD) Leads
- Work Group Leadership
- School-to-school support
- Possible future Leadership opportunities
These roles provide the opportunity to:
- deepen subject and pedagogical knowledge
- work collaboratively with colleagues across schools and trusts
- support professional learning within and beyond their own setting
- contribute to improving outcomes for children and young people.
While most of our recruitment activity takes place in the Spring Term, we welcome expressions of interest throughout the year and are always keen to hear from colleagues who are interested in working with Cheshire and Wirral Maths Hub.
