Our Region

Cheshire and Wirral Maths Hub serves a diverse and vibrant region across the North West of England, encompassing the local authorities of Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton and Wirral. The area includes a rich mix of coastal, urban and rural communities, with a wide range of schools, colleges, and educational settings.

We work in partnership with educators across the region to support excellence in mathematics teaching and learning. Our hub brings together practitioners at all stages of their careers, fostering collaboration, sharing best practice, and promoting evidence-informed approaches to mathematics education.

Through sustained professional development and strong local networks, Cheshire and Wirral Maths Hub is committed to improving outcomes for all learners and ensuring that every child and young person has access to high-quality mathematics education.

As one of 40 Maths Hubs across England, we are part of a national network driving improvement in mathematics education at scale. Through strong collaboration between hubs, we share expertise, develop best practice, and deliver consistent, high-quality support to schools and colleges.

This collective approach ensures that the work we do locally is strengthened by national insight, enabling us to contribute to a system-wide impact that is raising standards, improving teaching, and supporting better outcomes for all learners.
